NexTag Acquires Product Recommendation Engine Wize

NexTag, the San Mateo-based comparison shopping site, acquired Wize, a Burlingame-based product recommendation research engine, to integrate review content and improve shopping recommendations for consumers. Wize will retain its Burlingame offices and management team, with CEO Tom Patterson reporting to NexTag leadership; financial terms were not disclosed.
