Automotive Acquisitions in Arkansas

Club Car Wash, a Columbia, Missouri–based express tunnel car wash operator, has acquired Rapid Shine Car Wash, a family-owned single-site operator in Benton, Arkansas. The acquisition brings Rapid Shine into Club Car Wash’s 230+ location network and will give Rapid Shine customers access to Club Car Wash membership programs, upgraded technology and expanded resources while retaining local management.

MidOcean Partners has acquired Cloyes, a North American leader in timing drive systems and engine components, from Hidden Harbor Capital Partners. MidOcean plans to grow Cloyes through organic initiatives and strategic M&A to build a stronger platform in the automotive aftermarket; financial terms were not disclosed.

Atlantic Street Capital has made a growth-oriented investment in Zips Car Wash, partnering with founder Brett Overman while he remains the majority owner. The capital will support Zips' expansion of its express tunnel car wash platform (185 locations, 17 states) and efforts to grow membership and reach a target of over 500 locations.

Windjammer Capital Investors’ portfolio company Mission Critical Electronics (MCE) has acquired Purkeys Fleet Electric, a North American developer, manufacturer, and distributor of electric power solutions for truck fleets, liftgate and trailer manufacturers, dealers, and OEMs. The add-on strengthens MCE’s Vehicle Power business by expanding its aftermarket product portfolio and capabilities in vehicle electrification; financial terms were not disclosed.
