Construction Acquisitions in Canada

Canstar Restorations LP acquired Lydale Property Restoration, a property restoration provider focused on fire and flood remediation in Alberta and Saskatchewan. The deal combines Lydale’s 40+ years of experience with Canstar’s infrastructure and regional network to expand a one-stop restoration offering across Western Canada.

CAI Capital Partners’ portfolio company Universal Group acquired Beacon Lite (Ottawa) Ltd. and Signebec to expand its traffic control services footprint across Canada. Beacon Lite’s leaders, Luc Lemay and Simon Lemay, will continue to lead the business and become shareholders in the combined organization. CAI’s co-investment partners include BDC Capital, Roynat Equity Partners, and Frind Enterprises.

The Sunrock Group, through its Canadian affiliate, acquired Fenelon Ready-Mix, a ready-mix concrete business located in Fenelon Falls within Kawartha Lakes, Ontario, Canada. The deal expands Sunrock’s construction materials footprint in Ontario and follows prior acquisitions in the region, including a licensed aggregate quarry and Spartan Ready-Mix.
