Equifax has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Kount, an AI-driven fraud prevention and digital identity provider, for $640 million. The acquisition expands Equifax's digital identity and fraud-prevention capabilities by integrating Kount's Identity Trust Global Network and product suite into Equifax's Luminate platform; Kount employees will join Equifax's USIS unit and remain based in Boise, Idaho.

SolarWinds has agreed to acquire TriGeo, a provider of log and event management software, for $35 million in cash. The acquisition will add TriGeo's technology to SolarWinds' portfolio as SolarWinds Log and Event Manager (LEM), expanding SolarWinds' IT management capabilities into log/event management, security and compliance; the deal was expected to close in Q3 2011.
