Cybersecurity Acquisitions in Indiana

Centric Consulting has acquired The Mako Group, a cyber risk management firm, to expand its cybersecurity and risk management capabilities. The acquisition brings The Mako Group's expertise in vCISO, penetration testing, governance, risk and compliance into Centric's broader business and technology consulting services.

Affiliates of Newlight Partners LP have made a strategic growth investment in Pondurance to accelerate the managed detection and response (MDR) provider’s growth, R&D and product innovation. The deal accompanies senior leadership changes at Pondurance, including Doug Howard as CEO and Niloofar Razi Howe as Board Chair, and will support geographic expansion and potential strategic M&A.

Sophos (LSE: SOPH) has acquired Rook Security, an Indianapolis-based managed detection and response (MDR) provider founded in 2008, to expand its re-sellable MDR services by combining Rook's threat detection, investigation and incident response capabilities with Sophos' DarkBytes technology. Rook Security was privately owned; Capstone Partners advised Rook and Barnes & Thornburg LLP served as legal counsel. No financial terms were disclosed.
