Brook & Whittle Holdings, a PE-backed North American label manufacturer (majority owned by Snow Phipps Group), acquired a label converting facility in Croydon, Pennsylvania (formerly Gilbreth Packaging Solutions) to expand its shrink sleeve label capabilities. The add-on strengthens Brook & Whittle's capacity for high-end shrink sleeve and pressure sensitive film labels, supporting consumer and healthcare customers across North America.

Crestview Partners Completes Majority Investment in JMP Solutions

Crestview Partners Acquires Emerald EMS from New Water Capital

Crestview Partners has completed the acquisition of Emerald EMS from New Water Capital, with Emerald's CEO Vic Giglio continuing to lead the company. Headquartered in Salem, New Hampshire, Emerald is a high-mix, low-volume electronics manufacturing services provider operating six U.S. facilities and one in China; financial terms were not disclosed. Crestview intends to invest in the business and pursue additional add-ons and capability expansion to accelerate Emerald's growth.

PPC Flexible Packaging Acquires Target Labels and Packaging

PPC Flexible Packaging has acquired Target Labels and Packaging, a North Salt Lake, Utah-based provider of flexographic and digitally printed labels, rollstock and pouches. The acquisition — PPC's seventh in four years — expands PPC's western U.S. footprint and adds labeling and flexible-packaging capabilities for nutraceutical, snack, confectionery and specialty consumer brands.

Kelso & Company Acquires Majority Stake in C.L. Smith and Combines It with Inmark

Kelso & Company and affiliated funds acquired a majority interest in C.L. Smith Company, a distributor and manufacturer of rigid packaging solutions, and will combine it with Kelso's existing portfolio company Inmark. The deal expands Inmark/Novvia's rigid container, blow molding and hazardous-materials packaging capabilities; financial terms were not disclosed.
