Spartech, a St. Louis-based plastics manufacturer and portfolio company of Nautic Partners, has acquired Tufpak, Inc., an Ossipee, New Hampshire-based maker of medical-grade engineered plastic films and autoclave/biohazard bags. The deal expands Spartech's healthcare and biopharma packaging capabilities by adding Tufpak's proprietary polypropylene blown film extrusion technology and product lines.

Fedrigoni Group Acquires Acucote Inc.

Fedrigoni Group has acquired Acucote Inc., a U.S.-based manufacturer and distributor of pressure-sensitive self-adhesive materials, for an undisclosed amount. Crewe Capital acted as exclusive financial advisor to Acucote; the acquisition strengthens Fedrigoni's U.S. presence and its global self-adhesives portfolio, creating production, distribution, and procurement synergies.

OptiGroup Acquires Textiel Services Nederland (TSN)

Swedish distribution group OptiGroup has acquired Dutch workwear and hygiene specialist Textiel Services Nederland B.V. (TSN). TSN will be integrated into OptiGroup’s subsidiary All Safety Group to strengthen the combined offering in workwear, PPE rental/sales and workplace hygiene across the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany; the purchase price was not disclosed.

Inovar Packaging Group Acquires ModTek

Duraco Specialty Tapes Acquires Filmquest Group

Duraco Specialty Tapes, an OpenGate Capital portfolio company, has acquired Filmquest Group, a converter and supplier of polyester (PET) and specialty films headquartered in Bolingbrook, Illinois. The undisclosed-value transaction is an add-on that expands Duraco's product offering into specialty films for the flexible packaging market and will keep Filmquest's existing president in place.

OptiGroup Acquires Key Parts of Paardekooper's FRIS Division

OptiGroup has taken over key parts of the FRIS (Food, Retail, Industry and Services) division of Koninklijke Paardekooper Group following the parent company's bankruptcy, acquiring operations in the Netherlands, China and Ireland plus the LCA Centre. The assets will operate under the new trading name Paardekooper Packaging and report to Alex de Graaf, SVP OptiGroup Western Europe; the deal preserves jobs and expands OptiGroup's packaging capabilities across European markets.
