Tasty Restaurant Group (Tasty Hut) Acquires 37 Pizza Hut Locations

Tasty Restaurant Group, through its affiliate Tasty Hut and backed by Los Angeles-based private equity firm Triton Pacific, acquired 37 franchised Pizza Hut restaurants (34 in Northern Virginia and 3 in West Virginia). Flynn Restaurant Group and Wendy's Complete Purchase of NPC International's Pizza Hut and Wendy's Assets

NPC International has closed the sale of substantially all of its assets to Flynn Restaurant Group and Wendy's (together with five current Wendy's franchisees) as part of its Chapter 11 restructuring. The transactions transfer ownership of NPC's Pizza Hut and Wendy's restaurant locations (over 1,300 restaurants) to the buyers while restaurants remain open under new ownership.

Darden Restaurants Acquires Ruth's Hospitality Group

Darden Restaurants agreed to acquire all outstanding shares of Ruth's Hospitality Group, the owner/operator of Ruth's Chris Steak House, in an all-cash transaction valued at about $715 million ($21.50 per share). The deal, which closed June 14, 2023 via a tender offer and short-form merger, brings roughly 155 Ruth's Chris locations and nearly 5,000 team members into Darden's portfolio of restaurant brands.

1754 Properties Acquires Marriott Winston‑Salem

1754 Properties LLC acquired the 319-room Marriott Winston‑Salem in downtown Winston‑Salem, North Carolina; Hospitality Ventures Management Group (HVMG) will continue to operate the hotel. 1754 plans to invest over $5 million to renovate meeting spaces, hallways and infrastructure to elevate the property and drive demand from business, convention and leisure travelers.
