Chicago Switchboard Acquires IER Electrical Equipment and Controls

Chicago Switchboard, a portfolio company of Promise Holdings, acquired IER Electrical Equipment and Controls, a Houston-based manufacturer of custom electrical distribution and motor control solutions. Gemspring Capital (via its GGS I vehicle) made a strategic minority investment in Chicago Switchboard to support the add-on acquisition, which provides Chicago Switchboard a foothold in the Texas market; founder Mike Wolf sold the business.

Gemspring and StepStone Close Continuation Vehicle for Shrieve Chemical Company

Gemspring Capital closed a single-asset continuation vehicle that acquired interests in Shrieve Chemical Company, in a transaction led by StepStone Group and supported by new and existing investors including an affiliate of Gemspring and the Shrieve management team. The deal, which included a concurrent refinancing of Shrieve’s debt facilities, provides follow-on capital to support organic growth initiatives and strategic add-on acquisitions.

American Pacific Group Acquires Spark Power Group Inc.

American Pacific Group (APG) has completed the previously announced going-private acquisition of Spark Power Group Inc., a Oakville, Ontario-based provider of electrical power and maintenance services across North America. APG will partner with Spark Power's management to scale the business and expand its capabilities serving industrial, utility and renewable energy end-markets; the seller included Red Jar Capital Corp. and other selling shareholders.
