Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. acquired El Cerrito, California-based NEK Insurance, Inc., a retail property/casualty agency specializing in coverage for daycare centers, K-8 schools, residential care facilities and small remodeling contractors. Terms were not disclosed; Kevin Bruns, Jennifer Sylvestri, Kyle Peterson and their associates will join Gallagher's San Francisco branch. Gallagher said the acquisition is complementary to its San Francisco specialist business and provides cross-selling opportunities.
