Maritime Partners Acquires M/G Transport from Auxo Investment Partners

Maritime Partners, through its managed funds, has agreed to acquire M/G Transport Holdings LLC from Auxo Investment Partners and its affiliates. M/G, a longtime provider of inland barge transportation on the Lower Mississippi River and West Canal to Houston, will continue to operate under its brand with existing management; terms were not disclosed.

SEACOR Holdings Acquires U.S. Shipping Corp

SEACOR Holdings Inc. completed the acquisition of U.S. Shipping Corp (USSC) on August 13, 2021. The deal expands SEACOR's SEABULK operations and makes SEABULK one of the largest Jones Act tanker operators by adding USSC's six U.S.-flagged vessels and supporting coastwise chemical and petroleum transportation capabilities.

Maritime Partners-Managed Fund Acquires U.S. Marine Management from Maersk

A fund managed by Maritime Partners, LLC acquired Norfolk, Virginia-based U.S. Marine Management LLC (USMMI) from Maersk Line, Limited on September 20, 2023. The deal adds USMMI’s fleet and long-term government contracts (including Military Sealift Command work and a Tanker Security Program award) to the acquiring fund’s portfolio to expand capabilities and diversify assets and counterparties.

Karman Space & Defense Acquires Seemann Composites and MSC

Karman Space & Defense completed the acquisition of Seemann Composites and MSC, establishing a new Maritime Defense Systems end market and adding advanced materials, acoustic coatings and propulsion capabilities. The company amended its credit agreement to increase its incremental term loan to $772 million to fund the transaction and expects the deals to be immediately accretive to 2026 financial metrics.

Astatine Investment Partners Acquires McKeil Marine from TorQuest Partners

Astatine Investment Partners, a Greenwich, Connecticut–based infrastructure-focused private equity firm, has acquired McKeil Marine Limited, a Canadian marine transportation and project services provider, from TorQuest Partners. Astatine said it will partner with McKeil's management to expand the company's service offerings and fleet while leveraging McKeil's long-term inflation-linked contracts to provide downside protection.

Nautic Partners Acquires Spartech from Arsenal Capital Partners

Nautic Partners, together with Spartech management, has completed the acquisition of Spartech, a Maryland Heights, Missouri-based manufacturer of engineered acrylics, extruded plastics and thermoformed packaging, from Arsenal Capital Partners. Nautic said it will partner with the long‑tenured Spartech management team to invest in new products, expand capabilities and pursue selective add‑on acquisitions to grow the business.
