McNally Capital Merges Quiet Professionals with Spathe Systems to Form Defense Tech Platform

Chicago-based private equity firm McNally Capital has merged its portfolio company Quiet Professionals with Tampa-based Spathe Systems to form a new defense technology platform aimed at supporting U.S. Special Operations Forces and the broader national security community. Quiet Professionals CEO Andy Wilson will lead the combined company (which will operate under a new name) to expand capabilities across cybersecurity, intelligence, cloud services and advanced analytics. McNally partnered with Nio Advisors on the transactions; Raymond James and Ropes Gray served as McNally's financial and legal advisers, respectively.

McNally Capital, alongside partner Nio Advisors, completed a platform investment in Xcelerate Solutions, a McLean, Virginia–based national security and defense advisory firm that provides enterprise security, digital transformation, and strategic consulting services. The transaction establishes Xcelerate as a platform for growth—with management remaining in place—and McNally plans to pursue M&A and capability expansion to support the company's target to grow to a $500M firm.

Arlington Capital Partners Acquires MCR, LLC

Washington, DC-based private equity firm Arlington Capital Partners has signed a definitive agreement to acquire MCR, LLC, a McLean, Virginia-based provider of cost analysis, systems engineering and software development services for defense, intelligence and government customers. Arlington said it will partner with MCR's management (which invested alongside Arlington) to increase investments in core capabilities, pursue strategic acquisitions, and accelerate the company's growth.
