Vandemoortele, a family-owned European food group, has acquired a majority stake in Banneton Bakery, a New Jersey-based manufacturer of freezer-to-oven croissants, danishes, and other pastries. The transaction represents a full exit for Encore Consumer Capital; founders Victor and Alex Litinetsky remain investors and will continue to run day-to-day operations.

Champlain Financial Corporation-led Group Acquires Boulangerie Dumas

A group of Quebec investors led by Champlain Financial Corporation acquired Boulangerie-Pâtisserie Dumas, a Quebec City-based producer of puff pastries, croissants and vol‑au‑vents. Champlain will support the company’s product development and distribution expansion across Canada and into the United States; Marc Poulin joined as Executive Chairman. Crown Bakeries Acquires Michel's Bakery

Crown Bakeries, the Arbor Investments-backed bakery platform, has acquired Michel's Bakery, a Philadelphia-based maker and distributor of sweet baked goods founded in 1898. Michel's will continue operating from its Philadelphia facility with Jon Liss remaining as General Manager; terms were not disclosed. The deal expands Crown's manufacturing footprint in the Northeast and broadens its sweet- and laminated-goods capabilities.

CVC Acquires Grupo Monbake from Ardian and Co-investors
