Accel-KKR, a technology-focused private equity firm, has acquired Springbrook Software, a provider of cloud-based ERP, finance, payroll and utility billing software for local governments. The carve-out from Accela will let Springbrook operate as an independent company with increased investment to accelerate product innovation, customer care and growth across North America.

Elm Creek Partners Acquires Liberty Paper Products

Dallas-based private equity firm Elm Creek Partners, with majority equity provided by Henrikson & Graul Capital Partners (HGCP), has acquired Liberty Paper Products, a Phoenix-based specialty converter and distributor of thermal paper. Founder and CEO Mike Rapier remains in his role and rolled a portion of his proceeds into the new ownership; lenders on the transaction included Marquette Business Credit and subordinated debt from Medallion Capital.

ReadyLIFT (Wheel Pros) Acquires Zbroz Racing

ReadyLIFT Suspensions, a division of Wheel Pros (backed by Clearlake Capital), acquired Zbroz Racing, a manufacturer of UTV and snowmobile suspension components. The add-on expands ReadyLIFT/Wheel Pros' powersports and aftermarket suspension product portfolio and gives Zbroz access to Wheel Pros' sourcing and distribution network; terms were not disclosed.

PennSpring Capital Acquires Swing Kingdom and Atlas Molding

PennSpring Capital, a Lancaster-based lower middle market private equity firm, has acquired Swing Kingdom, a manufacturer of vinyl playground equipment, and Atlas Molding, a rotational plastics molder. PennSpring said it will expand Swing Kingdom's distribution into SLED (state, local and education) channels and grow Atlas Molding in lockstep to pursue broader rotomolding end markets.

Iowa Spring Acquires Northeast Spring

Iowa Spring, a family-owned precision spring manufacturer based in Adel, Iowa, acquired Northeast Spring of Reading, Pennsylvania, with the deal closing on September 15, 2023. The acquisition adds Northeast Spring’s Reading and Villa Rica, Georgia facilities to Iowa Spring’s group, expanding manufacturing capacity and locations while founder John O’Leary will remain for three years to support the transition.

Infinity Engineered Products Acquires Meklas Otomotiv

Turnspire Capital Partners' portfolio company Infinity Engineered Products acquired Meklas Otomotiv, a Turkey-based air spring manufacturer founded in 1986. The acquisition adds production capacity and engineering capability to support re‑introducing the Goodyear air springs brand in Europe and accelerates Infinity's geographic expansion into the EMEA aftermarket and OEM markets.
