TransDigm Acquires DART Aerospace for Approximately $360M

TransDigm Group Incorporated agreed to acquire DART Aerospace, a Montreal-based manufacturer of helicopter mission equipment, from Greenbriar Equity Group and First Aviation Services for approximately $360 million in cash. DART, which generates roughly $100 million in pro forma 2022 revenue and employs about 400 people across facilities in Canada, the U.S. and Mexico, was acquired to expand TransDigm's proprietary product and aftermarket capabilities; the deal is expected to close in Q2 2022 subject to customary approvals.

TransDigm Acquires Raptor Scientific for $655M

TransDigm Group Incorporated has completed the acquisition of Raptor Labs Holdco, LLC (Raptor Scientific) from L Squared Capital Partners for approximately $655 million in cash. Raptor Scientific is a manufacturer of complex test and measurement solutions serving aerospace and defense markets, expected to generate about $90 million in 2024 revenue and employs roughly 170 people across multiple U.S. manufacturing sites.

TransDigm Acquires SEI Industries LTD.

TransDigm Group Incorporated completed the acquisition of SEI Industries LTD., a Delta, British Columbia–based maker of the Bambi Bucket and other aerial firefighting and liquid-transportation products. SEI, which employs about 80 people and is expected to generate roughly $30 million in 2024 revenue with ~85% aftermarket sales, will expand TransDigm’s proprietary, aftermarket-focused aerospace product portfolio.

TransDigm Acquires Jet Parts Engineering and Victor Sierra Aviation Holdings

TransDigm Group Incorporated has agreed to acquire Jet Parts Engineering (JPE) and Victor Sierra Aviation Holdings (VSA), both portfolio companies of Vance Street Capital, for approximately $2.2 billion in cash. The transaction expands TransDigm’s presence in the commercial aerospace aftermarket by adding engineered PMA/OEM-alternative parts, repair capabilities and distribution for commercial, regional, cargo, and business aviation customers.

TransDigm Acquires CPI's Electron Device Business

TransDigm Group Inc. completed the acquisition of the Electron Device Business (EDB) of Communications & Power Industries (CPI) from an affiliate of The Resolute Fund V (TJC) for approximately $1.385 billion in cash. The business, a leading manufacturer of high-power RF/microwave components with strong aftermarket revenue, generated about $300 million in revenue for FY ended September 29, 2023 and employs ~900 people across U.S. and U.K. facilities.
