RoadOne IntermodaLogistics Acquires Ace Transport Miami LLC

RoadOne IntermodaLogistics has acquired Ace Transport Miami LLC; the business will operate as Ace IntermodaLogistics and expand RoadOne's service footprint in Southern Florida. Ace brings intermodal, transload and overweight-container capabilities, a 100,410 sq ft Miami warehouse, 70 drivers and a 300‑unit chassis fleet; founders Rudy and David Alvarez will remain as shareholders and continue to run operations. The acquisition is an add-on to RoadOne's PE-backed platform (recapitalized by Ridgemont Equity Partners) to accelerate Florida network and capability expansion.

Boston-based private equity firm Nonantum Capital Partners completed a recapitalization of RoadOne IntermodaLogistics, partnering with founders Ken Kellaway and David McLaughlin to provide growth capital. The investment will support RoadOne's continued expansion and acquisition strategy for its coast-to-coast intermodal drayage, terminal operations, and transloading network.

The deal expands RoadOne's domestic drayage and regional truckload capabilities on the U.S. East Coast and will integrate DDI into RoadOne's family of brands as DDI IntermodaLogistics.
