Butler Automotive Group Acquires Bulldog Kia

Butler Automotive Group, a Macon, Georgia–based dealer group led by Marsh and Morris Butler, acquired Bulldog Kia in Athens, Georgia from owners David Kernall and James Hammond. The acquisition adds Butler's first Kia franchise and expands the group's footprint to 15 dealerships across Georgia, South Carolina and Florida.

The deal brings Sonic's total Jaguar Land Rover dealerships in the United States to 11 and strengthens its position as the largest Jaguar Land Rover retailer by volume in the U.S.

(a portfolio company of Kinderhook Industries) has acquired Cord Automotive International, a U.S.-based designer and manufacturer of aluminum running boards, door sills, bed rails and other automotive accessories for OEMs. The transaction is an add-on for Vehicle Accessories intended to broaden product categories and OEM relationships; financial terms were not disclosed.
