Bluestem Equity Ltd. completed the acquisition of Lafayette, Louisiana-based United Vision Logistics (UVL), a land transportation and logistics provider offering heavy haul, long haul, and expedited services across the United States and Canada. Berkshire Partners Makes Strategic Investment in RJW Logistics Group

Boston-based private equity firm Berkshire Partners has made a strategic (majority) investment in RJW Logistics Group, a Woodridge, Illinois–based provider of retail logistics and consolidation services for consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands. RJW CEO Kevin Williamson and other management will remain significant investors, and prior investor Mason Wells will remain a minority holder; the deal is intended to support RJW's growth, innovation and geographic expansion.

Summit Plastics, headquartered in Summit, Mississippi, is a niche B2B manufacturer of custom LLDPE blown film and bags serving food & beverage, industrial, and healthcare end markets; Origin Bank provided senior debt for the transaction.
