Macquarie Capital Principal Finance has acquired a majority stake in Multifuels Midstream Group from Warren Equity Partners and Multifuels L.P. Multifuels, headquartered in Houston, Texas, is a power and utility infrastructure platform focused on lateral natural gas pipelines in Central Texas; Macquarie said it will support the company's continued development and redevelopment of customers' gas infrastructure to drive growth.

Macquarie Asset Management-led consortium to acquire further 20% stake in National Gas

A consortium led by Macquarie Asset Management has agreed to acquire an additional 20% equity interest in National Gas from National Grid, taking the consortium's total ownership to 80%. The deal, on equivalent terms to the original January 2023 transaction, is subject to regulatory clearance and is expected to complete in the second half of 2023; the consortium also holds an option to acquire the remaining 20% between May and July 2024.

A fund managed by Macquarie Asset Management agreed to acquire a 40% minority equity stake (with an option to increase to 49%) in select U.S. Gulf Coast infrastructure assets of Dow Inc., forming a new joint-venture platform called Diamond Infrastructure Solutions. The assets—site utilities, power and steam production, pipelines, environmental operations and storage—span five Dow sites in Texas and Louisiana; the transaction provides Dow with cash proceeds (approximately $2.4bn initially, up to ~$3.0bn if Macquarie increases to 49%) and creates a specialist infrastructure operator to serve Dow and third-party industrial customers.
