Pioneer Metal Finishing (Aterian-backed) Acquires Indianhead Plating

Pioneer Metal Finishing, a portfolio company of Aterian Investment Partners, has acquired Indianhead Plating, a chrome plating and metal finishing provider based in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. The add-on expands Pioneer's plating and cylindrical grinding capabilities across its North America footprint; John Altmann, the owner of Indianhead, sold the business and Weil Gotshal & Manges LLP advised Pioneer.

Bodycote Acquires Lake City HT and Stack Metallurgical Group for $145M

Bodycote plc agreed to acquire Lake City HT (Warsaw, Indiana) and Stack Metallurgical Group (Pacific Northwest) for a combined gross consideration of $145 million to expand its Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) and heat treatment footprint in North America. The acquisitions add two HIP and three heat treatment sites, strengthen Bodycote's reach in medical and aerospace end markets and are expected to be accretive to margins and EPS from year one.

Pioneer Metal Finishing, a portfolio company of Aterian Investment Partners, has acquired Electrochem Solutions, a Union City, California-based metal finishing specialist founded in 1982. Electrochem provides precious metal plating and other technical finishing services (including gold and silver plating, anodizing, and electroless nickel) primarily to the semiconductor fabrication equipment end market; the deal expands Pioneer’s West Coast presence and technical capabilities as an add-on to its platform.

AOTCO Metal Finishing Acquires Plating for Electronics

AOTCO Metal Finishing has acquired Plating for Electronics, a Waltham, Massachusetts-based provider of anodizing, electroplating and laser marking services. Both companies will continue to operate in their current locations with existing management and employees retained; the deal expands AOTCO's certified capacity and adds PFE's anodize colors and laser marking capabilities to AOTCO's NADCAP-accredited facility.

Innovative Emissions Control Inc. Acquires Cormetech, Inc.

Innovative Emissions Control Inc. (IEC), a special-purpose investment company founded by John Moore and Edoardo Bugnone, has completed a transaction to acquire Cormetech, Inc.; terms were not disclosed. IEC said the investment will provide growth capital and long-term ownership stability to support Cormetech's global expansion and development of new technologies, including work in carbon capture and water treatment.

Andra Tech Group (backed by Castik Capital) Acquires Innotec Zerspanungstechnik GmbH

Andra Tech Group has acquired 100% of Innotec Zerspanungstechnik GmbH, a precision-machining manufacturer based in Sinsheim, Germany; financial terms were not disclosed and managing directors Jörg and Björn Leichenich will remain in place. Innotec’s ~75 employees serve medical, optics, high-tech systems and semiconductor customers; the acquisition expands Andra Tech Group’s German footprint and capabilities and is supported by funds managed by Castik Capital, which acquired a majority stake in Andra Tech Group in September 2024.
