Mavis Tire Acquires Midas from TBC Corporation

Mavis Tire Express Services Corp. completed the acquisition of Midas from TBC Corporation, expanding Mavis's retail footprint to more than 3,500 locations across the United States and Canada. Midas will remain a standalone brand headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and the transaction strengthens Mavis's position in the North American automotive repair and maintenance market.

An investor group led by BayPine LP in partnership with TSG Consumer Partners and existing equity-holder West First Management has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire (recapitalize) Mavis Tire Express Services Corp., with Golden Gate Capital retaining a minority stake. The transaction, which also includes participation from StepStone Group and financing led by Jefferies and Owl Rock Capital, will support Mavis' digital transformation, continued consolidation strategy and geographic expansion of its multi-location automotive service platform.

Mavis Tire Express Services Corp. Acquires Tuffy Tire & Auto Service Centers

Mavis Tire Express Services Corp. has agreed to acquire Tuffy Tire & Auto Service Centers, adding Tuffy's ~165 service centers to Mavis's national footprint. Tuffy will remain headquartered in Toledo, Ohio, with CEO Roger Hill joining the combined company's leadership; terms were not disclosed.
