CVC Capital Partners and Haveli Investments Acquire Jagex from Carlyle

CVC Capital Partners Fund VIII and Haveli Investments have agreed to acquire Jagex, the Cambridge-based developer and publisher best known for RuneScape, from The Carlyle Group. Jagex — a Games-as-a-Service leader with roughly 700 employees and millions of players across RuneScape titles — will be supported by CVC and Haveli to grow its IP, platform capabilities and global reach; terms were not disclosed (reports suggested circa £900m).

CVC, Nordic Capital and ADIA Complete Acquisition of Hargreaves Lansdown

A consortium led by CVC and Nordic Capital, with Platinum Ivy (a wholly-owned subsidiary of ADIA), has completed the acquisition of Hargreaves Lansdown and the company has been delisted from the London Stock Exchange. The consortium said it will partner with management to accelerate Hargreaves Lansdown’s transformation plan, investing in technology, digital channels and service enhancements to improve the client proposition and drive growth in the UK wealth market.
