Clarion Capital Partners Invests in International Cybernetics to Launch TICC Infrastructure Testing Platform

Clarion Capital Partners has invested in International Cybernetics (ICC), partnering with ICC management and shareholders to establish a Testing, Inspection, Certification and Compliance (TICC) platform focused on infrastructure testing and inspection across the U.S. and Canada. Stellus Capital Management provided unitranche senior debt financing and an equity co-investment to support the transaction; ICC will continue to be led by CEO Michael Nieminen while Mustafa Temiz will help oversee the combined platform.

Kohlberg & Company Acquires 50% Stake in USIC; Partners Group Retains 50%

Kohlberg & Company is acquiring a 50% stake in United States Infrastructure Corporation (USIC) while Partners Group will retain a 50% co-lead interest; funds managed by Neuberger Berman also joined the investment. The transaction values USIC at an enterprise value of USD 4.1 billion — USIC is a leading provider of utility locate services headquartered in Indianapolis with ~9,000 technicians performing roughly 80 million locates per year. The investors plan to support further growth through investments in sales and digital capabilities to capture demand driven by infrastructure stimulus and 5G densification.

Accelerant Holdings acquired Commonwealth Insurance Company of America (CICA) from Brit Group (a subsidiary of Fairfax Financial) and will rename the carrier Accelerant National Insurance Company. The deal expands Accelerant's U.S. capabilities by adding an admitted insurance carrier and coincides with the U.S. rollout of its underwriting and analytics platform, Accelerant InSightFull; Accelerant is PE-backed by Altamont Capital Partners.

Bain Capital Insurance Backs Creation of The Mutual Group; GuideOne Becomes Inaugural Member
