Orangewood Partners and ABDD Capital's ABTB Acquires Eight Taco Bell Restaurants in Louisville, KY

ABTB, a partnership between Orangewood Partners and ABDD Capital, acquired eight additional Taco Bell restaurants in the greater Louisville, Kentucky market and will integrate them into ABTB’s existing portfolio, which now totals 32 Taco Bell locations. Financial terms were not disclosed; Paris Ackerman LLP provided legal advice on the transaction.

Balance Point Capital provided a follow-on equity investment in ABTB Mid-Atlantic Holding Company, LLC to support the acquisition of 39 Taco Bell restaurants in the Greater Atlanta metro. The stores will be operated by experienced QSR operator SWN LLC (Southpaw), which currently runs 180+ Taco Bell and Dunkin' locations and partners with Balance Point to expand its footprint.

Balance Point Capital (via affiliated funds) made an equity investment in ABTB Mid-Atlantic Holding Company, LLC, a portfolio owner of Taco Bell, Pizza Hut and KFC restaurants across Northern Virginia and the DC‑Metro area. The company is managed by QSR operator SWN LLC (Southpaw), which operates over 135 restaurants and will work with Balance Point to support continued acquisitions and new-unit development in the Mid‑Atlantic.

Mubadala Capital Acquires K-MAC Enterprises

Mubadala Capital, the Abu Dhabi-based asset management subsidiary of Mubadala Investment Company, has acquired K-MAC Enterprises — the second-largest Taco Bell franchisee in the United States — from Lee Equity Partners Opportunities Fund in partnership with K-MAC's existing management team. K-MAC operates over 300 Taco Bell restaurants primarily in the Midwestern and Southern United States; Mubadala said the acquisition will support K-MAC's next phase of growth, including expanded use of technology and new concepts and formats.
