Boston-based private equity firm Berkshire Partners has made a majority investment in Harvey Performance Company, a Rowley, Massachusetts manufacturer of precision cutting tools. The investment, partnered with Harvey CEO Pete Jenkins and management, acquires the company from Summit Partners and is intended to support Harvey's strategic growth and continued product and acquisition-driven expansion.

Cornerstone Building Brands has agreed to acquire Harvey Building Products, a Waltham, Massachusetts-based manufacturer of windows and doors, from Dunes Point Capital. The acquisition adds Harvey's Harvey, SoftLite and Thermo-Tech brands, roughly 1,200 employees and four manufacturing facilities across the Northeast and Midwest, increasing Cornerstone's exposure to the Repair & Remodel (R&R) end market and strengthening its distribution and dealer channels.
