Carrier Sells Commercial Refrigeration Business to Haier for $775M

Carrier Global Corporation completed the sale of its commercial refrigeration business to Haier for an enterprise value of $775 million (including ~ $200 million of net pension liabilities). The transaction is part of Carrier's portfolio transformation to focus on core businesses (excluding Carrier Transicold, Sensitech and the Lynx digital ecosystem) and the net proceeds will be used to pay down debt.

USA Refrigerants is a national refrigerant distributor and longtime purchaser of recovered refrigerants; Hudson said the purchase will create a dedicated refrigerant acquisition group to expand its acquisition, reclamation and sales capabilities.
