Equistone Partners Europe Acquires Majority Stake in Omnicare

Equistone Partners Europe has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Omnicare, a German pharmaceutical wholesaler specializing in distribution of finished medicines to compounding pharmacies for patient-specific oncology treatments. The seller is a consortium of shareholders that will retain a stake; Omnicare’s management, led by Oliver Tamimi, will remain in place and the deal (terms undisclosed) is expected to close in Q4 2019.

QuestGates, headquartered in Birmingham with c.500 employees and £41m revenue in FY2023/24, will continue to be led by CEO Chris Hall and remain majority-owned by its management team and employees; the capital will support organic growth, capability development and further acquisitive expansion.

Equistone Partners Europe Acquires Heras from CRH plc

Equistone Partners Europe has agreed to acquire Heras from CRH plc in a carve-out transaction; Heras' management will take a minority stake alongside Equistone. Headquartered in Oirschot, Netherlands, Heras is a leading European manufacturer of mobile and permanent perimeter protection systems with over 1,100 employees and more than €220 million in annual revenue. Equistone plans to grow Heras as a platform for consolidation and organic product and geographic expansion.

Equistone Acquires Majority Stake in RENA Group

Funds advised by Equistone Partners Europe have acquired a majority interest in the RENA group from funds advised by Capvis AG. RENA, headquartered in Gütenbach, Germany, is a manufacturer of wet-chemical surface treatment machinery with around 800 employees and annual output above €120 million; Equistone will partner with management to support continued growth, R&D and expansion into adjacent markets subject to regulatory clearance.

Equistone Acquires Majority Stake in BUKO Infrasupport and BUKO Waakt

The seller is Scheybeeck Participaties (the Burger family office); the existing management team, led by CEO Robert Emmerich, will reinvest and continue to run the business as Equistone supports domestic growth and targeted expansion into neighbouring countries.

Equistone Partners Europe has acquired a majority stake in Gardengate, a Braga-based manufacturer of aluminium gates, doors and other outdoor-home aluminium products, with Crest Capital Partners retaining a minority stake alongside the founder and management team. Equistone plans to support Gardengate's international expansion (Benelux, Germany, UK), broaden its product range, grow its online presence and consolidate Portuguese production to increase capacity and profitability.
