Peru-based Océano Seafood has acquired Sea Fresh USA, a Rhode Island-based seafood processor, marking Océano's first U.S. acquisition. The deal gives Océano direct access to Sea Fresh's BRC-certified processing facility, fishing vessels and U.S. sourcing capabilities and supports the company's planned expansion across North America.

Sun Capital Affiliate Acquires Fresh Origins from LaSalle Capital

An affiliate of Sun Capital Partners has completed the acquisition of Fresh Origins, a San Marcos, California–based grower and shipper of microgreens and edible flowers. LaSalle Capital, which owned Fresh Origins since ~2018, exited the business; terms were not disclosed and Fresh Origins' CEO Norma St. Amant will remain in place as Sun Capital pursues expanded foodservice and retail penetration and operational improvements.

Mrs. Gerry's Kitchen (Sequel Holdings) Acquires Garden-Fresh Foods

Alantra acted as exclusive financial advisor to Garden-Fresh; the family owners (Tom and Vicki Hughes and their sons) and CEO John Colapinto will remain involved after the sale, and the deal brings together two prepared-salad manufacturers to expand scale and capabilities in refrigerated ready-to-eat foods.

SaltWise Acquires Green Salt

Centre Partners Acquires Captain D's Seafood

Centre Partners completed the acquisition of Captain D's Seafood and affiliated entities; financial terms were not disclosed. Yukon Partners and Onex Falcon provided junior/mezzanine financing to support the transaction, and Captain D's management reinvested and will remain in place; the company is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee and operates over 500 quick-service seafood restaurants across the United States. Sentinel Capital Partners sold the business.
