Incline Equity Partners has acquired Profile Products LLC, a Buffalo Grove, Illinois-based manufacturer of erosion control products, soil amendments and horticultural growing media, from Platte River Equity. The deal represents a platform acquisition for Incline to drive continued product development, expand end-market penetration and accelerate growth across construction, sports turf and horticulture end markets.

Profile Products Acquires Sunterra Horticulture

Profile Products, a portfolio company of Incline Equity Partners, has acquired Sunterra Horticulture, a Canadian producer of professional-grade sphagnum peat moss. The deal adds Sunterra’s product lines and manufacturing facilities in Saskatchewan and Manitoba to Profile’s horticulture portfolio, strengthening its supply of critical raw materials for growers and blenders.

PROFILE Products Acquires HydroStraw, LLC

PROFILE Products LLC acquired the erosion control and seed businesses of HydroStraw, LLC, including HydroStraw’s Rockford, Washington production plant, distribution center and employees. The acquisition expands Profile’s erosion-control product line, manufacturing and distribution capabilities in the western United States; financial terms were not disclosed and the deal closed on February 20, 2020.

New Mountain Capital Acquires Horizon Group Holdings from Sun Capital Affiliate

New Mountain Capital has acquired Horizon Group Holdings, LLC (Horizon Services) from an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners. Horizon, a Newark, Delaware-based residential provider of heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and electrical services with a ~1,400-employee team, will remain managed by founder Dave Geiger and management, and will use New Mountain's capital and resources to accelerate organic and acquisition-led growth.

New Mountain Capital to Acquire PerkinElmer's Applied, Food and Enterprise Services Businesses

New Mountain Capital entered into a definitive agreement to acquire PerkinElmer's Applied, Food and Enterprise Services businesses (a carve-out from PerkinElmer's Discovery & Analytical Solutions segment) for up to $2.45 billion. The transaction transfers the OneSource lab and field services business and a portfolio of instruments, consumables and reagents to New Mountain, which intends to invest behind the business as a platform for growth; the deal closed in Q1 2023 subject to customary approvals.
