ABAX (Investcorp) Acquires Automile

Investcorp-backed ABAX has acquired Automile, a Nordic telematics and IoT fleet-management provider, to strengthen ABAX’s telematics platform and scale its global footprint. The deal combines complementary telematics portfolios to create one of Europe’s largest telematics players by subscriptions and expands ABAX’s capability and geographic coverage.

Scaleworks Acquires Nextopia

Cars Commerce (d/b/a Cars.com) acquired DealerClub, a dealer-to-dealer digital wholesale auction, for approximately $25 million in cash with up to $88 million of additional performance-based consideration. The deal, which closed January 23, 2025, expands Cars Commerce’s Trade & Appraisal strategy by adding transactional wholesale capabilities and access to a dealer-facing marketplace serving 650+ dealer customers.

Trader Interactive acquired four niche marketplaces — NextTruck, Rock & Dirt, Tradequip and Trade-A-Plane — from The Cosby Harrison Company, expanding its commercial vehicle, construction equipment, energy and aviation marketplace offerings. The deal (closed Feb 10, 2020) preserves the marketplaces' brands and brings most associated Cosby Harrison employees to Trader Interactive to support continued service to dealers and OEMs and enable international growth (including Rock & Dirt Español).
