Deluxe Acquires Sundog Media Toolkit

Deluxe Media Inc. has acquired UK-based Sundog Media Toolkit Ltd., a cloud-based platform that automates creation of multi-format, multi-language files for theatrical, television and streaming distribution. Financial terms were not disclosed; Sundog founders Richard Welsh and Chris Ralph have joined Deluxe in senior roles as the technology is integrated into Deluxe's One workflow to expand cloud automation, mastering and localization capabilities.

Perficient Acquires SMEDIX, Inc.

Perficient, Inc. has acquired SMEDIX, Inc., a San Diego-based healthcare software engineering firm with offshore operations in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The deal (announced Oct 20, 2023) adds ~175 employees and ~$12M in revenue to Perficient, expanding its healthcare software development capabilities and Eastern Europe delivery capacity; the parties targeted closing in January 2024 and the transaction was completed in January 2024.

Perficient, a public digital transformation consulting firm, acquired Southport Services Group, a Washington, D.C.-based MicroStrategy consultancy with approximately $17 million in annual revenue. The deal adds roughly 100 consulting, technology, sales and administrative professionals and expands Perficient's data solutions capabilities and presence in the Washington D.C. region (plus locations in Phoenix and Mexico City).
