Goldner Hawn, a Minneapolis-based private equity firm, has acquired Steven Label, a Santa Fe Springs, California manufacturer of specialty labels, overlays, membrane switches and medical instructions-for-use that serves medical device and industrial OEM customers. Goldner Hawn intends to support Steven Label’s growth initiatives and pursue add-on acquisition opportunities to expand the platform’s capabilities in healthcare and industrial end markets; Mentor Securities advised Steven Label on the transaction.

The Kennedy Group (Willoughby, Ohio) has acquired Color Label, Inc., a St. Louis-based supplier of pressure-sensitive labels serving agricultural and consumer product industries. The deal expands The Kennedy Group’s national footprint into the St. Louis market, shifts production to its Cleveland-area facility while retaining key St. Louis personnel to ensure continuity, and was advised by Graphic Arts Advisors (GAA).

The Starco Group Acquires Blue Cross Laboratories

The Starco Group (TSG) has acquired Blue Cross Laboratories (BCL), a 60-year-old personal care and household chemical manufacturer based in Santa Clarita, California. The deal (price undisclosed) brings BCL's 105,000-square-foot liquid-fill manufacturing facility into TSG's portfolio while BCL will continue to operate as a stand-alone business and offer TSG's broader product portfolio to its customers.
