Publicis Sapient, the digital business transformation unit of Publicis Groupe, has acquired Spinnaker SCA, a Boulder, Colorado–based supply chain strategy, planning and execution consulting firm. The acquisition strengthens Publicis Sapient's digital supply chain capabilities — including supply chain design, planning, analytics and AI/ML — and will form the foundation of a new digital supply chain practice; terms were not disclosed.

Black Lake Capital acquired Spinnaker SCA — the merged business formed from SCApath (Boulder, CO) and Spinnaker SCS (Houston, TX) — with financing provided by Source Capital. The combined firm provides end-to-end supply chain strategy, planning and execution services, and Black Lake said the acquisition will accelerate growth in omni-channel commerce and supply chain technology solutions.

SOCOTEC Acquires Spinnaker Group

(SOCOTEC USA), a provider of testing, inspection, certification and building consultancy services, has completed the acquisition of Spinnaker Group, a South Florida–based energy efficiency and sustainability consulting firm. The deal expands SOCOTEC's energy & sustainability capabilities and establishes a stronger presence in the South Florida market for commissioning, energy modeling, LEED and O&M consulting services.

Saalex Corporation Acquires Spalding Consulting

Saalex Corporation has acquired Lexington Park–based Spalding Consulting in a transaction valued at over $75 million. The acquisition adds Spalding's 430+ employees to Saalex, expands Saalex's annual revenues to over $175 million, establishes an East Coast presence near NAWCAD Patuxent River, and will have Spalding operate as a wholly owned subsidiary with existing leadership retained.

Alta Equipment Group Acquires PeakLogix

Alta Equipment Group Inc. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire PeakLogix, a Midlothian, Virginia-based material handling systems integrator that designs and installs warehouse automation and storage systems. The acquisition expands Alta's materials handling capabilities and geographic footprint; PeakLogix generated about $25 million in revenue and $2 million in operating income in FY2019. Terms were not disclosed and the transaction is expected to close by the end of June, subject to customary conditions.
