SYSTM Foods Acquires HUMM Kombucha

SYSTM Foods, a functional beverage brand platform backed by GroundForce Capital and SYSTM Brands, has acquired HUMM Kombucha, a leading low- and zero-sugar kombucha brand headquartered in Bend, Oregon. The deal adds a gut-health focused brand to SYSTM's portfolio (which includes REBBL and Chameleon Organic Coffee) as part of a roll-up strategy to build scale and capabilities in the refrigerated ready-to-drink functional beverage category.

Veolia Acquires Chameleon Industries

Veolia North America has completed the acquisition of Chameleon Industries, a Texas-based specialty chemical producer that recovers and repurposes byproducts from semiconductor manufacturing. The deal expands Veolia's circular-economy capabilities and its environmental services footprint in the semiconductor and advanced manufacturing markets across North America.

Nestlé Brasil Acquires CRM Group (Owner of Kopenhagen and Brasil Cacau)

Nestlé Brasil has entered into an agreement to acquire the entire stake held by FIP Dutch (quotaholders: funds managed by Advent International) in the CRM Group, owner of the Kopenhagen, Brasil Cacau and Kop Koffee brands. The deal — subject to CADE approval — will expand Nestlé's presence into premium chocolate retail and store-based consumer experiences; the transaction is expected to close in 2024 and financial terms were not disclosed.

Chobani Acquires La Colombe for $900M

Chobani, LLC has acquired La Colombe for $900 million, financed with a $550 million term loan, cash on hand, and the exchange of Keurig Dr Pepper's minority stake into Chobani equity. The acquisition brings La Colombe's RTD coffee, roasting capabilities and café footprint into Chobani's portfolio to accelerate entry into the ready-to-drink coffee category and drive complementary growth and synergies.

Westrock Coffee Acquires S&D Coffee & Tea from Cott Corporation

Westrock Coffee Company has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire North Carolina-based S&D Coffee & Tea from Cott Corporation. BBH Capital Partners will provide acquisition capital alongside Westrock's existing investors, including The Stephens Group, and the combined business — which will employ approximately 1,700 people globally — will create a leading integrated coffee, tea, and extract supplier; S&D President and CEO Ron Hinson will remain with the combined organization as Chairman Emeritus.
