TELUS launched a dedicated TELUS Agriculture business unit and consolidated a suite of agtech acquisitions, including AFS Technologies and Agrian, along with AGIntegrated, Decisive Farming, Farm At Hand, Muddy Boots, TKXS and Feedlot Health Management Solutions. The acquisitions create an integrated digital agriculture offering spanning farm management, precision agronomy, supply-chain and traceability tools, and analytics to optimize the global food value chain.

Convergix Automation Solutions Acquires AGR Automation

Convergix Automation Solutions, a Crestview Partners-backed automation platform, has acquired AGR Automation, a UK-based custom automation design and systems integration firm headquartered in Arbroath, Scotland. The deal — Convergix's third add-on as part of its platform build plan — expands Convergix's European footprint and capabilities in life sciences and consumer goods automation; financial terms were not disclosed.

Agro Care and CombiVliet Merge to Create Dutch Tomato Leader

Agro Care (an NPM Capital–backed grower) and fellow Dutch tomato grower CombiVliet have merged and will operate under the name Agro Care, combining nearly 500 hectares of greenhouse production with ambitions to reach 1,000 hectares in the Netherlands and internationally. The deal aims to drive efficiency and sustainability through shared staff services, joint purchasing and a common headquarters; Kees van Veen will be CEO of the combined business while Roy van Vliet and Philip van Antwerpen will lead Dutch and Tunisian operations respectively.

Aurora Cannabis Acquires Controlling Interest in Bevo Farms

Aurora Cannabis acquired a 50.1% controlling stake in Bevo Agtech Inc., the parent of Bevo Farms Ltd., and will consolidate Bevo's operations. The deal (approx. $45M cash on closing plus contingent payments) gives Aurora access to Bevo's plant propagation expertise, while Bevo will acquire Aurora's Aurora Sky facility in Edmonton to expand production and geographic reach.

Rovensa Acquires Agro-K

TowerBrook to Acquire Consolis' Rail Division

TowerBrook Capital Partners agreed to acquire the Rail business of Consolis, a portfolio of precast concrete brands that design and manufacture sleepers and other precast products for railways across Europe. The transaction is a sale/divestiture by Consolis and is subject to social dialogue with employees and customary regulatory approvals; TowerBrook intends to develop the Rail business as a standalone, growth-oriented platform.
