Agro Care and CombiVliet Merge to Create Dutch Tomato Leader

Agro Care (an NPM Capital–backed grower) and fellow Dutch tomato grower CombiVliet have merged and will operate under the name Agro Care, combining nearly 500 hectares of greenhouse production with ambitions to reach 1,000 hectares in the Netherlands and internationally. The deal aims to drive efficiency and sustainability through shared staff services, joint purchasing and a common headquarters; Kees van Veen will be CEO of the combined business while Roy van Vliet and Philip van Antwerpen will lead Dutch and Tunisian operations respectively.

Curaleaf Holdings Acquires Northern Green Canada

Curaleaf Holdings, Inc. has signed a deal to acquire Northern Green Canada, an EU-GMP certified Canadian licensed cannabis producer, to secure high-quality indoor EU-GMP flower supply and bolster Curaleaf's European and Australasian expansion. The acquisition is expected to close in Q2 2024 pending regulatory approvals and will strengthen Curaleaf's supply chain for key markets including Germany, Australia/New Zealand and the U.K.

Nordic Capital Acquires CARE Fertility from Silverfleet Capital

Nordic Capital has agreed to acquire CARE Fertility, a leading UK fertility clinic group headquartered in Nottingham, from Silverfleet Capital; completion was expected in February 2022 and financial terms were not disclosed. CARE operates 24 clinics across the UK and Ireland with around 560 employees (including over 160 embryologists and doctors); Nordic Capital will partner with management to drive international expansion, clinical innovation and digital capabilities.

Turf Care Supply Acquires Agri-Nutrients, Inc.

Grove Collaborative Acquires 8Greens

(via its holding company 2900 Madison Ave Holdings, LLC) acquired Greenleaf Growers, Inc., a greenhouse and wholesale commercial grower in Grand Rapids, Michigan; the transaction closed on September 2, 2022. Edible Garden will operate the site as "Edible Garden Heartland," integrate its proprietary GreenThumb technology, retain substantially all staff and expand regional production to better serve Midwest retail customers.
