Green Bay Packaging Acquires SMC Packaging Group

Green Bay Packaging Inc. has acquired SMC Packaging Group, a Springfield, Missouri-based producer of custom corrugated boxes, displays and packaging materials. The purchase expands Green Bay Packaging's geographic reach into Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma and brings SMC into GBP's vertically integrated packaging platform.

The Lucas Group (BAV, Inc.) Acquires Power Manufacturing, Inc.

The Lucas Group, through its subsidiary BAV, Inc., acquired Power Manufacturing, Inc., a maker of plastic parts and assembly components for the motorcoach, bus and transit markets based in Elkhart, Indiana. The acquisition brings Power Manufacturing into The Lucas Group's portfolio (its fourth company) and is intended to support further growth and operational improvements under new ownership.

AVALT and VantEdge Acquire Suburban

AVALT, a Boston-based private equity-focused family office, and VantEdge, a Kansas City-based family office investment firm, have acquired Suburban Intermediate Holdco, Inc., a Waukesha, Wisconsin provider of drywall, insulation, steel framing and custom finish installation services. The sponsors invested alongside members of Suburban's management and plan to pursue an acquisition-driven strategy to expand the platform's geographic footprint beyond Wisconsin; terms were not disclosed. High Street Capital sold the company.

Northwinds Services Group Acquires Suburban Services Group

BBQGuys Acquires Pacific Coast Manufacturing

BBQGuys, the Baton Rouge-based online retailer of premium grills and outdoor living products, has acquired Pacific Coast Manufacturing (PCM), a Chino, California manufacturer of stainless-steel outdoor kitchen components and grill accessories. The acquisition vertically integrates PCM's manufacturing capabilities into BBQGuys' e-commerce and retail platform to expand product breadth and support continued growth in the outdoor living market.

Niobrara Capital and Prysm Capital Acquire Polar Semiconductor

Polar Semiconductor has been sold to Niobrara Capital and Prysm Capital following a $175 million equity financing to convert the company into a majority U.S.-owned merchant foundry. The investors and federal/state CHIPS incentives will support a roughly $525 million investment to double wafer capacity, add compound semiconductor, sensor and power semiconductor capabilities, and create 160+ jobs in Bloomington, Minnesota.
