Granite Construction Acquires Lehman-Roberts Company and Memphis Stone & Gravel

Granite Construction Incorporated (NYSE: GVA) has acquired Lehman-Roberts Company and Memphis Stone & Gravel Company, expanding its materials and paving footprint in the Memphis metropolitan market. The deal adds asphalt plants and sand & gravel mines (with substantial reserves) to Granite’s operations and will be financed with a $150 million term loan plus revolver and cash on hand; the acquired companies’ leadership will remain in place.

The approximately 200-employee business adds three hot‑mix asphalt plants and an aggregates terminal in the Houston metro area, expanding Construction Partners' Texas footprint and providing vertical integration opportunities with its existing Lone Star Paving assets.

Construction Partners, Inc. (NASDAQ: ROAD) acquired Pickens Construction, Inc., a hot‑mix asphalt producer and contractor headquartered in Anderson, South Carolina. The bolt‑on acquisition — which includes one hot‑mix asphalt plant and about 20 employees — will be integrated into CPI’s South Carolina platform, King Asphalt, Inc., and expands CPI’s service footprint in the greater Greenville, South Carolina metro area.

Granite Acquires Warren Paving and Papich Construction

Granite Construction (NYSE: GVA) completed acquisitions of Warren Paving and Papich Construction for a combined purchase price of $710 million, adding approximately $425 million of annual revenue and materially increasing its aggregates reserves and production. The deals expand Granite's vertically-integrated home markets—adding a major barge-enabled aggregates network in the Southeast and quarry/roadbuilding capabilities on California's Central Coast—and are expected to be accretive to adjusted EBITDA.

Granite Construction (NYSE: GVA) has completed the acquisition of Coast Mountain Resources (2020) Ltd., the operator of the Bamberton Quarry on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, located on Malahat First Nation land. The acquisition strengthens Granite's vertically integrated construction materials footprint in its home markets and Granite says it will work with the Malahat First Nation to manage a safe and environmentally responsible operation.

(CAP), a distributor with locations in Des Moines, Iowa and Lenexa, Kansas. The acquisition expands Baldwin Supply's regional footprint and capabilities to better serve customers in aggregate, mining and construction markets.
