Sonova Acquires Alpaca Audiology to Expand U.S. Presence

Sonova Holding AG has agreed to acquire Alpaca Audiology, a U.S. network of approximately 220 audiology clinics with over 500 employees, for USD 310 million on a cash- and debt-free basis. The deal, financed from Sonova’s cash balance and subject to regulatory approval, is intended to substantially increase Sonova’s direct consumer access in the United States and is expected to close before the end of financial year 2021/22.

Sigma7, a Growth Catalyst Partners-backed risk information and services platform, has acquired Alaco Limited, a London-based business intelligence and strategic intelligence advisory firm, from co-founders Amy Lashinsky and Ambrose Carey. The add-on expands Sigma7’s global risk and intelligence capabilities and will see Alaco integrate with Sigma7’s group while key practice leaders remain in place.

Sensei Biotherapeutics Acquires Alvaxa Biosciences

Sensei Biotherapeutics has completed the acquisition of Alvaxa Biosciences, a Seattle-based developer of camelid (alpaca-derived) nanobodies and related discovery libraries. The purchase brings Alvaxa's nanobody libraries, discovery expertise and a partnership with Hope Farms into Sensei's ImmunoPhage platform to expand its immuno-oncology capabilities.

Tacen Acquires Kawazu Sakura Software
