Tangram Insurance Services Acquires New Empire Entertainment Insurance

Tangram Insurance Services, a national managing general underwriter and program manager, acquired Los Angeles–based New Empire Entertainment Insurance effective August 1, 2022. The acquisition expands Tangram’s specialty program capabilities into the entertainment production and events insurance market and brings New Empire’s entertainment-focused agency and program expertise into Tangram’s portfolio.

Amwins Acquires Superior Underwriters

Amwins, a leading wholesale distributor of specialty insurance products, has acquired Superior Underwriters, a Bellevue, Washington–based managing general agency (MGA). The business, which will join Amwins Access, closed on December 31, 2024; terms were not disclosed and the acquisition is intended to strengthen Amwins' presence in the Pacific Northwest and expand its small-business binding authority capabilities.

Acrisure Acquires Appalachian Underwriters

Acrisure has acquired Appalachian Underwriters, a national Managing General Agency (MGA) and third‑party administrator (TPA) that places more than $400 million in gross written premium across Workers' Compensation, Commercial Specialty, Personal Lines and wholesale distribution. Acrisure said the deal will broaden its technology platforms by integrating Appalachian's claims and underwriting dataset into its data and AI strategy and expand its distribution capabilities. Terms were not disclosed.

Britely Insurance Acquires Empire State Brokerage Services LLC
