Trident, a New York-based private equity firm, announced a strategic investment in Priority Courier Experts, a same-day and next-day B2B delivery provider headquartered in the Minneapolis–St. Paul area. Trident is partnering with operating partner Bluejay Capital and has installed Mark Cossack as CEO and Ted Burchell as President to support Priority's local market leadership and expand the business into new geographies.

Associated Couriers, LLC (St. Louis) has acquired Specialty Freight & Courier, a Florida-based medical and final-mile courier with offices in Jacksonville and Tampa. The acquisition — effective November 2020 and announced February 1, 2021 — expands Associated Couriers' regional same-day, last-mile and next-day capabilities in Florida and the Southeastern U.S., increasing the buyer's national footprint to 40 states.

Adenia Partners Acquires The Courier Guy

Adenia Partners, through its Adenia Capital (V) LP vehicle and alongside co-investors DEG, Proparco and South Suez, has acquired 100% of The Courier Guy, a leading last-mile delivery and express parcel (CEP) provider in South Africa. The transaction is financed with debt from RMB and supported by advisors including PwC (financial/tax), Webber Wentzel (legal) and EY (ESG); Adenia said the deal positions the business to capture strong e‑commerce-driven growth in the South African last‑mile market.

Ionic Partners' CXT Software Acquires e-Courier

CXT Software, backed by Ionic Partners, has acquired e-Courier to create the largest last-mile TMS provider focused on couriers and shippers, nearly doubling customer footprint and combining R&D resources. Accel-KKR Credit Partners provided acquisition financing to support the transaction, which aims to accelerate AI-driven routing, dispatch optimization, and product innovation across last-mile logistics.
