Generational Equity advised the sale of Geoflow, Inc., a specialist in subsurface drip irrigation and effluent dispersal technologies, to CAST Environmental Holdings, LLC (with affiliated Anua). The acquisition closed on February 2, 2022; sellers included owners Karen Ruskin Ferguson and Rodney Ruskin, and CAST/Anua plan to build on Geoflow’s patented ROOTGUARD and GEOSHIELD technologies to expand their clean water and onsite wastewater solutions.

Trinity Consultants Acquires GeoSystems Analysis

Trinity Consultants has acquired GeoSystems Analysis (GSA), a Tucson-based hydrology and natural resources consultancy with offices in Arizona, New Mexico, and Oregon and additional resources in Nevada and Peru. GSA will operate as a business unit within Trinity's Water & Ecology division, expanding Trinity's water and ecology service capabilities and geographic footprint while preserving GSA's leadership and client continuity.

Wind River Environmental Acquires Skyline Plumbing and Septic, Inc.

Wind River Environmental, a Marlborough, Massachusetts–based waste and septic services platform, has acquired Skyline Plumbing and Septic, Inc., a Hiram, Georgia–based provider of septic pumping, plumbing and drain cleaning services. The acquisition expands Wind River's footprint in the Atlanta market and follows its 2018 Hamby's acquisition, supporting geographic expansion and local service consolidation; Skyline's founder Chris Batchelor is retiring as part of the transaction.

Water Engineering Acquires Earthwise Environmental

Water Engineering, a portfolio company of Nolan Capital, has acquired Earthwise Environmental, a Wood Dale, Illinois-based provider of water treatment equipment, chemicals, consultation, and preventative maintenance services. The deal is an add-on to the Water Engineering platform to expand its footprint and service capabilities across the Midwest, South and Southeast while retaining Earthwise's brand and founder Robert "Bob" Miller.

Geospace Technologies Acquires Aquana, LLC

Geospace Technologies Corporation acquired 100% of Aquana, LLC, a provider of wireless IoT water monitoring and remote shut-off valve systems, which will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary. The deal included an initial cash payment of $1.4 million plus contingent cash payments over a six-year earn-out; Geospace said the acquisition expands its IoT and smart city capabilities and complements its existing product and manufacturing base.

Integrated Water Services and Sciens Water Acquire Hyperion International Technologies

Integrated Water Services, in partnership with Sciens Water Opportunities Management (an affiliate of Sciens Capital), acquired 100% of Hyperion International Technologies, a control-systems and engineering services provider for water and wastewater markets. The deal expands IWS’s product and digital services capabilities in modular MBR and wastewater reuse technologies; Hyperion’s General Manager Scott Johnson will lead the business as Al Ouchie transitions to retirement.
