Builders FirstSource Acquires Valley Truss Company

Builders FirstSource, Inc. acquired Valley Truss Company, Inc., a Boise-based manufacturer of metal plate connected wood trusses, in a transaction that closed April 1, 2022. Generational Equity advised Valley Truss on the sale as Builders FirstSource expands its footprint and manufacturing capabilities in Idaho and Northern Nevada.

Builders FirstSource (NYSE: BLDR) has acquired Trussway, a Houston-based manufacturer of pre-fabricated roof and floor trusses and value-added building components, which generated approximately $340 million in annualized sales and employs ~1,000 people. The acquisition adds six manufacturing facilities to Builders FirstSource's network, expands its roof and floor truss and multifamily capabilities, and is expected to generate robust free cash flow and synergies within the first 15 months; the purchase was funded with cash on hand and the company’s ABL.

Alliance, the largest independently operated supplier of building materials in Arizona with ~ $330M TTM sales and over 300 employees, expands Builders FirstSource's presence in the high-growth Phoenix/Tucson/Prescott Valley markets; the deal is expected to close around the end of Q2 2021 and be funded with cash and credit facilities.

US LBM Acquires Better Built Truss
