Plaskolite Acquires Trinseo's Matamoros Cell Cast Acrylic Facility

Plaskolite LLC has agreed to acquire the land, buildings and equipment of Trinseo's cell cast acrylic manufacturing facility in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico. The asset purchase expands Plaskolite's North American footprint and adds cell cast PMMA sheet production capability to its existing acrylic sheet technologies; product shipments from the Matamoros plant were expected to begin in H2 2023.

PIA Akrilik is the leading Turkish manufacturer of cast acrylic sheets (sold under the Castplas brand), operating a 26,376 m² facility in Malatya with c.7,500 tons annual capacity; Sirius Plastik said it will invest to strengthen the company’s capital structure and support regional growth.
