RMA Companies Acquires Earth Engineers

RMA Companies, a portfolio company of OceanSound Partners, has acquired Earth Engineers, a Camas, Washington–based geotechnical engineering, construction materials testing, and special inspection firm. The add-on expands RMA's Pacific Northwest footprint (adding offices in Camas, Springfield and Aiea) and strengthens its geotechnical and materials testing capabilities as it builds a national testing, inspection and certification platform.

RMA Group Merges with Western Technologies and Enviro-Drill

RMA Group of Companies, a portfolio company of OceanSound Partners, has merged with Western Technologies, Inc. and Enviro-Drill, Inc. to form a larger provider of technology-enabled laboratory testing, inspection, and quality management services for critical infrastructure across the Western U.S. The combined business will employ more than 600 professionals across nearly 20 offices in five states, expand service capabilities and geographic reach, and pursue further acquisition-driven growth under RMA CEO Ed Lyon; terms were not disclosed.

RMA Companies, a portfolio company of OceanSound Partners, has acquired A3GEO, a Berkeley-based geotechnical, geologic, and seismic engineering consultancy. A3GEO will operate as a business unit of RMA GeoScience with founder Dona Kelly leading the combined group; the deal closed May 31, 2023 and strengthens RMA's geotechnical and seismic capabilities in California and the Western United States.
