Kenan Advantage Group Acquires K-Limited Carrier

The Kenan Advantage Group (KAG) has completed the acquisition of K-Limited Carrier, Ltd., a Toledo, Ohio-based liquid bulk transporter of chemical products. Approximately 100 operational employees and a fleet of about 95 tractors and 195 trailers plus terminal and satellite locations in multiple Midwestern cities will join KAG to expand its Specialty Products division and chemical logistics footprint.

The Kenan Advantage Group, Inc. (KAG) has acquired M.C. Tank Transport, Inc., a West Chester, Ohio-based liquid bulk chemical transport company operating eight terminals and three ISO container depots across the Southeast and Midwest. The deal brings roughly 175 drivers and 70 operational/administrative employees into KAG, and adds about 100 tractors and 500 trailers/chassis while expanding KAG’s chemical tanking, ISO container storage/maintenance, and related service capabilities.

The Kenan Advantage Group, Inc. (KAG) has completed the acquisition of Fort Transfer Company, a Morton, Illinois–based liquid bulk chemical carrier and storage provider. The deal adds Fort Transfer’s terminals, 100 tractors, 249 trailers, ~2.6 million gallons of temperature-controlled storage capacity, and roughly 203 personnel (including 158 drivers/contractors and 45 operational staff) to KAG’s Specialty Products operations to expand capabilities and geographic coverage in chemical and agricultural markets.

Kenan Advantage Group (KAG) has acquired Mobile, Alabama-based Evergreen Transport, a family-owned dry bulk hauler. The deal brings roughly 100 drivers and 45 operations staff, plus 158 tractors, 338 trailers and four Alabama terminals to KAG as it expands its dry bulk transportation platform.

Kenan Advantage Group Acquires Northern Dry Bulk

Kenan Advantage Group has acquired Northern Dry Bulk, a Clare, Michigan-based dry bulk transporter and warehousing operator that specializes in transport and storage of plastic resins for automotive, packaging and electronics end markets. The deal — terms not disclosed — brings Northern Dry Bulk's drivers, technicians, 36 tractors, 91 trailers and two terminals into KAG as it enters the dry bulk transportation business (the plastics recycling operation was excluded).

KAG Logistics Acquires Connectrans Logistics

KAG Logistics, LLC completed the acquisition of Toronto-based Connectrans Logistics Inc., expanding KAG's footprint into the Canadian logistics market and strengthening its cross-border freight capabilities. Connectrans provides cross-border transportation services (dry van, temperature control, flatbed, over-dimensional and intermodal) enabling KAG to offer enhanced capabilities to Canadian and U.S. customers.
