MSouth Equity Partners, an Atlanta-based private equity firm, completed the acquisition of BIG Language Solutions in partnership with the company's management team led by Jeff Brink. MSouth intends to use BIG as a platform for a buy-and-build strategy focused on translation, interpretation, and related language services for regulated verticals such as legal, financial services, and life sciences.

BIG Language Solutions (BIG) has acquired Language Link, a Vancouver, Washington-based language service provider specializing in over-the-phone (OPI) and video remote interpreting (VRI). The deal closed April 30, 2021; Language Link (founded 1991) reported roughly USD 27.5m revenue in 2020 and ~120 full-time employees. BIG said the acquisition accelerates its regulated-industry expansion (healthcare, government) and complements its buy-and-build strategy.

TransPerfect has acquired Munich-based dubbing and localization studio SPEEECH Audiolingual Labs and will integrate it into TransPerfect Media to expand its media localization and dubbing capabilities in Germany. Financial terms were not disclosed; SPEEECH founder Stephan Kleinschmidt will become division president of TransPerfect Media Germany.
