Kimbell Royalty Partners Acquires Permian Basin Mineral and Royalty Interests from Hatch Resources for $290M

Kimbell Royalty Partners (NYSE: KRP) agreed to acquire mineral and royalty interests from Austin-based Hatch Royalty LLC (Hatch Resources) in a cash-and-unit transaction valued at approximately $290 million ($150M cash and ~7.3M Kimbell units valued at $140M). The acquired Permian Basin assets (primarily Texas Delaware Basin) are estimated to produce ~2,072 Boe/d as of Oct 1, 2022 (projected ~2,522 Boe/d for 2023); the deal was approved by both parties and expected to close in Q4 2022.

Kinetik Holdings Acquires Durango Permian from Morgan Stanley Energy Partners

Kinetik Holdings Inc. has completed the acquisition of Durango Permian LLC from investment funds managed by Morgan Stanley Energy Partners. The transaction transfers Durango Permian's Permian Basin gas gathering, processing and CO2 sequestration assets to Kinetik and includes cash and equity consideration with contingent payments tied to commissioning of the Kings Landing processing project.

Franco‑Nevada Acquires 1.8% NSR on Newmont's Yanacocha From Buenaventura

Franco‑Nevada Corporation acquired an existing 1.8% net smelter return (NSR) royalty on Newmont's Yanacocha mine and adjacent properties (including Conga) from Compañía de Minas Buenaventura and its subsidiary for $210 million cash plus a contingent $15 million payable in Franco‑Nevada common shares. The royalty interest is effective July 1, 2024 and provides Franco‑Nevada with additional long‑life precious‑metal exposure in Peru.

SilverBow Resources Acquires Assets of Sundance Energy and SandPoint Resources

SilverBow Resources agreed to acquire substantially all assets of Sundance Energy for approximately $354 million (plus up to $15 million contingent) and certain assets from SandPoint Resources for $71 million. The transactions — expected to close in mid/late 2022 — expand SilverBow's Eagle Ford footprint by roughly 39,000 net acres (plus SandPoint acreage), materially increase production and free cash flow, and create near-term synergies from contiguous acreage.
