Tilia Holdings Acquires Caputo Cheese from Promus Equity Partners

Chicago-based private investment firm Tilia Holdings has acquired Caputo Cheese, a Melrose Park, Illinois value-added processor of high-quality Italian cheeses, from Promus Equity Partners (transaction closed June 30, 2025). Monroe Capital provided the senior credit facility and an equity co-investment to support the acquisition; Natale Caputo will continue to lead the company as Tilia looks to scale Caputo's manufacturing and national distribution capabilities.

Ergon Capital Acquires Majority Stake in Dolciaria Acquaviva

Ergon Capital IV SCSP (Ergon) has acquired a majority stake in Dolciaria Acquaviva from the Acquaviva family, with family members reinvesting alongside Ergon. Dolciaria Acquaviva is an Italian leader in frozen bakery products based in Gricignano di Aversa (Caserta), employs about 100 people, serves over 20,000 primarily Ho.Re.Ca customers nationwide, and will pursue accelerated growth and consolidation supported by Ergon.

Union Capital Associates Acquires Lakeview Cheese Co. LLC

Greenwich-based private equity firm Union Capital Associates, L.P. has acquired Lakeview Cheese Co. LLC, a Las Vegas-based manufacturer and distributor of natural, custom blend and private label cheese products. Dinan Capital Advisors served as exclusive financial advisor to Lakeview Cheese and its shareholders in the transaction; terms were not disclosed.

Charterhouse Acquires Labomar S.p.A.

Charterhouse Capital Partners has invested in Labomar S.p.A., partnering with founder and CEO Walter Bertin and existing minority shareholder Cleon Capital; Labomar's shares were delisted as part of the transaction. Charterhouse will support Labomar's next phase of growth via a buy-and-build strategy to consolidate fragmented markets and expand the company's CDMO capabilities across food supplements, medical devices and functional cosmetics.

Encore Consumer Capital Acquires Chalet Desserts

Encore said it will partner with founder and CEO Dave Laukat and the existing management team to pursue organic growth, capacity investments and add-on acquisitions to expand the platform.

Ferraro Foods Acquires Botticelli Food Service; Sells Casa Foods Division Back to Fornino Family

Ferraro Foods has acquired Botticelli Food Service (including the recently acquired Rudy & Son operation), expanding its distribution footprint and adding hundreds of pizzeria and restaurant customers across the Long Island / tri-state pizza market. Concurrently, Ferraro sold its Casa Foods division in Utica, New York back to the legacy Fornino family, transferring the Utica facility and more than 80 employees to local ownership.
