Bison Capital Partners V, LP announced a growth capital investment to form Apex Innovative Sciences, Inc., combining CNS Network and Hassman Research Institute and acquiring Clinical Trial Centers Alliance to create a national operator of clinical trial sites focused on central nervous system (CNS) indications. The new company operates multiple clinical research sites and Ocean View Psychiatric Hospital (a 36‑bed acute psychiatric hospital) to support Phase I–IV studies for pharmaceutical and biotech sponsors.
